Information we collect
- •Account information — name, email, and password (stored encrypted) for staff and residents.
- •Program information — for residents: check-ins, dues status, messages to staff, and emergency contacts you choose to add.
- •Application information — details you submit through the intake form (contact info, background, referral).
- •Donation information — name and email for receipts; payment card details are handled directly by Stripe/PayPal and are never stored by Fern House.
How we use your information
- •To operate the resident program (check-ins, dues, communication with your house manager).
- •To review applications and manage intake.
- •To process and acknowledge donations, and to keep supporters informed.
- •We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.
How your data is stored & protected
- •Your data is held in Fern House’s own database, protected by per-user logins and row-level security — residents can only see their own information, and only authorized staff can access the admin.
- •Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Payment processing is handled by PCI-compliant providers (Stripe, PayPal).
Your rights
- •You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us.
- •Residents who leave the program may request that their portal account be closed.
